Northwest AHEC and Riverwood have partnered to provide continuing education for health care professionals in our area. Over the course of this year Riverwood will host several workshops for mental health professionals, therapists, counselors, educators, or anyone interested in how equine assisted activities and therapy can benefit clients or family members. The first workshop is scheduled for April 20.

Founded in 1995, Riverwood is a 501 (c)(3) charitable corporation serving 90 individuals weekly. We are a PATH Intl. (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International) Premier Accredited center with eight nationally certified instructors and a physical therapist registered at the intermediate level with PATH Intl. and AHA (American Hippotherapy Association).
