Souper Bowl Success!

Our 12th Annual Souper Bowl was a huge success! Thanks to all of our wonderful supporters, we far exceeded our goal by 50 quarts, selling a total of 650 quarts of chili this year! More than $5,000 raised from the event will go toward Riverwood's programs and scholarship funds. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the incredible staff at Salem Kitchen. We are so thankful for their generous donation this year and continued support over the past 20 years. In addition to donating the initial 500 quarts of chili in full, Salem Kitchen staff coordinated packing, labeling, order counting and distributing! They also secured an advertisement for the event in the Winston Salem Journal, which undoubtedly contributed to our most successful Souper Bowl to date. Furthermore, Salem Kitchen hosted our Mobile Education Outreach unit in the parking lot on pick up day. Thank you to all that stopped by to see us and raise awareness of Riverwood.

If you haven't been by Salem Kitchen before, we highly suggest you pay them a visit! They have wonderful entrees and sides to take and bake, delicious desserts, incredible home and kitchen wares and to top it off they even cater special events. You simply can't go wrong with the meals at Salem Kitchen.
