Eric Holthusen’s Riverwood journey began at the age of seven. Diagnosed with “pervasive developmental disorder,” a therapist at Eric’s school recommended therapeutic horseback riding. Now, almost 18 years old, Eric’s enthusiasm is contagious as he prepares for each lesson. His father, Greg, tells us a little more about Eric’s Riverwood story.

Will Murphrey has seen many therapists over the years, but there is something special about the four-legged therapists he sees at Riverwood. Will began riding at Riverwood 15 years ago – he was one of the original students when Riverwood first opened in 1995. While there are all kinds of specialists available for many different forms of therapy, Will’s mother explains in the video that the Riverwood horses have provided a “gift” to the heart and soul of their entire family.
